Accessibility Statement

Last reviewed: October 31, 2026. BreedingCalculator.net aims to make its game calculators and guides practical for visitors using different devices, browsers, and assistive technologies. This statement describes our accessibility approach, current limitations, and how to report a problem.

Our approach to accessible game tools

We want visitors to be able to understand what a calculator does, enter values without unnecessary difficulty, read results clearly, and find supporting instructions. Because our tools involve forms, time values, and changing results, accessibility needs to be considered in both the interface and the underlying content.

We use straightforward page layouts, visible labels where practical, readable headings, responsive designs, and text-based explanations of important formulas and limitations. We aim to keep main calculator features available without requiring visitors to register or provide game login information.

Design and usability practices

  • Readable content: We favor plain language, short paragraphs, clear headings, and explanatory labels for game-specific terms.
  • Keyboard use: Forms, choices and buttons should be operable without a mouse. We aim to preserve a visible focus indicator and logical tab order.
  • Mobile layouts: Calculator inputs and result areas should fit smaller screens without requiring horizontal scrolling for ordinary use.
  • Contrast and text: Our design uses contrasting colors and avoids relying on color alone to communicate important results.
  • Reduced motion: Where animation is used, we aim to respect browser or device preferences for reduced motion.
  • Useful errors: Input errors should explain what needs changing instead of displaying a confusing numerical result.
  • Clear results: Calculated wait times, assumptions, and relevant warnings should be presented in text rather than only as graphics.

What we have tested

Our first published tool, the My Singing Monsters Plant Island Breeding Calculator, was tested locally for common input cases, reset and example actions, timing calculations, and layouts on desktop and narrow mobile screens. The site has also been reviewed using automated Lighthouse accessibility checks.

Automated scores and local tests cannot establish full accessibility. They may miss issues involving specific screen readers, browser zoom, keyboard focus, voice input, switch control, unusual devices, or the preferences and experience of individual visitors. We do not claim that the entire website has been independently certified to a particular Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) level.

Known limitations and ongoing work

Some interactive features depend on JavaScript. If JavaScript is disabled, a calculator may not produce results or populate its selection options. We try to provide explanatory text outside the interactive result where useful, but this does not substitute for the live calculation.

We link to third-party documentation and community sources that we do not control. External websites may have their own accessibility barriers. Cookie-consent controls are provided by Complianz and may vary with plugin updates, regional settings, and browser behavior. We aim to review these integrations when they change.

Game names and mechanics also introduce specialized vocabulary. Where a term might be unfamiliar to a beginner, we aim to explain it in the calculator instructions or a supporting guide. Our Calculator Methodology & Sources page explains the data and formula used by the first calculator.

Report an accessibility barrier

If something is hard to use, please email contact@breedingcalculator.net with Accessibility Feedback in the subject line. We welcome specific reports about confusing labels, unreadable text, keyboard problems, screen-reader output, focus management, errors, consent dialogs, or content that is difficult to understand.

Helpful details include the page URL, device type, browser, assistive technology if relevant, the action you were trying to complete, and a short description of what happened. You do not need to disclose a medical condition or other sensitive personal information to report an issue.

We review actionable feedback as resources allow. We cannot promise an individual response time or immediate resolution, but substantial barriers will be considered when we update the affected page or tool.

Alternative ways to get information

If an interactive calculator is inaccessible to you, email us the page URL and the information you need. Where reasonably practical, we will consider providing the relevant formula, source explanation, or a text-based calculation example. We cannot access private game accounts or verify live in-game results.

Future improvements

As the website adds new games and calculators, we aim to prioritize accessible controls, understandable outputs, consistent navigation, and mobile usability. We also intend to review problems reported by visitors and revise interfaces when reliable improvements are identified.

This statement may change when a new tool, theme feature, or third-party integration affects accessibility. For general questions, see the Contact page; for website usage and data-handling details, see our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
